Watches
Have you ever wanted a watch you could fold yourself? This little origami wristwatch is the kind of project that looks far fancier than it actually is — a single square of paper turns into a chunky, three-dimensional watch you can actually strap onto your wrist. Kids love it because it's wearable, and grown-ups love it because the final touch is all yours: draw your own dial, pick your favorite paper, and make it truly yours.
Learn how to fold a wristwatch out of origami — a charming three-dimensional paper watch. I hope this becomes a fun reference for your origami play.
How to fold a wristwatch with origami
Today I'll show you how to make a wristwatch from a single sheet of origami paper.
It's a cool, three-dimensional little watch.
You can actually wear the watch you make on your wrist and play with it — folding it is fun, and so is playing with it! It's origami you can really play with.
Although it looks impressive, it's actually simple to fold and uses just one sheet of origami paper.
If you draw the dial with a little illustration, the finished piece looks just like the real thing.
Enjoy experimenting with different papers and dial designs — you're sure to end up with a lovely watch.
I hope you'll give this wristwatch a try.

Here is the finished wristwatch.
The whole body of the watch is made from a single sheet of origami.
This time I drew a dial by hand and pasted it onto a round piece of paper. (I wish I could write the numbers a bit cuter — haha.)
Adding a dial makes it feel so much more realistic.
It's a really cool watch.
How to fold the watch
STEP 1. First, make two creases on the triangle and draw a guide line. Then fold along the dotted line as shown.
STEP 2. Fold the top and bottom edges toward the center.
STEP 3. Fold it in half.
STEP 4. As shown in the diagram, fold the upper portion back at the point that divides it in half. Do the same on the back.
STEP 5. Insert your finger from the direction of the yellow arrow, open it into a triangle, and squash-fold.
STEP 6. Do the same on the back side.
STEP 7. Fold along the dotted line so you can open it.
STEP 8. Fold along the dotted line, then open it up.
STEP 9. Fold upward along the line. This is a good spot to draw the dial.
STEP 10. Shape the dial area so it becomes three-dimensional.
STEP 11. Align the two ends and secure them with tape or glue.
STEP 12. The watch is complete!
