Origami Chair (Easy Version)
The traditional origami chair is a lovely example of how one simple move, repeated, can build something surprisingly recognisable. Here that move is folding all four corners into the middle, and you do it four times in a row, turning the paper over between each round.
By the last round you are holding a thick little square with four pockets hidden in it, and that is the moment it stops looking like a fold and starts looking like furniture. Open the pockets, turn three flaps down for legs and one up for a back, and it stands. Stiff paper works best if you want it to hold its shape, and it makes a sweet little seat in a doll scene.
