Paper box Japanese traditional origami
There is a reason the traditional Japanese paper box has stayed popular for centuries: it is useful, endlessly customizable, and satisfying to fold. One square of paper becomes a little open container you can actually use — for candies on a party table, for jewelry on a dresser, or just for corralling the small clutter that collects on a desk. Because it is quick to make, you can fold a whole rainbow of them in an afternoon and instantly feel more organized. The steps repeat a few simple moves on each side, so once you find the rhythm it almost folds itself. Pick a double-sided paper and the inside and outside of your box will both look great.
This versatile origami box (or bowl) is made from colorful paper — double-sided paper works best. Make a whole batch of them and you'll be wonderfully organized! They are perfect for holding candies, trinkets, jewelry… honestly, just about anything.
