Few paper folds are as satisfying to "fly" as a homemade jet, and this stealth fighter brings a bit of sci-fi menace to the classic paper-plane tradition. The build is a proper project — twenty-two clear, photo-illustrated steps that start with the square base creases you may already know, then layer in pockets, reverse folds, and tucks to sculpt a sharp, angular body. The last few moves drop the wings and tail into place, and suddenly the flat sheet has become a plane that looks like it could disappear onto a radar screen. It is a longer fold than a quick dart, so it rewards a little patience, but the photos keep every crease easy to find. Grab a square of dark or shiny paper, fold it up, and get ready for takeoff.

STEP 1

Take a square sheet of paper, fold it in half sideways and unfold.

STEP 2

Fold the paper in half downward and unfold.

STEP 3

Fold the paper in half diagonally and unfold.

STEP 4

Fold the paper along the other diagonal and unfold.

STEP 5

Fold the top edge and the bottom edge to meet the center line.

STEP 6

Fold the side edges to meet the center line and unfold.

STEP 7

Open the pockets, bringing the inner and the side edges to the vertical center line.

STEP 8

Fold the top and the bottom flaps of the right part to meet the center line.

STEP 9

Fold the model in half downward, folding the right part inward.

STEP 10

Fold the upper layer upward, creasing from the right central corner to the left central corner.

STEP 11

Fold the left part backward along the line of the previous crease.

STEP 12

Fold the upper right flap upward, creasing horizontally.

STEP 13

Fold the bottom right flap backward the same way.

STEP 14

Expand the right part and fold the central triangle inward.

STEP 15

Unfold the right flaps.

STEP 16

Expand the right part and fold the right flaps inward.

STEP 17

Fold the tips inward.

STEP 18

Fold the upper layer of the left part to the right, creasing from the top left corner to the bottom corner.

STEP 19

Fold the bottom layer the same way.

STEP 20

Fold the front and the back flaps downward to make the wings.

STEP 21

Fold the right flaps downward to make the tail.

STEP 22

The Stealth Fighter is complete! Launch it into the sky!
