Every Halloween display needs a witch, and this one comes with her broom already in hand. It is a tiny model with a lot of personality - a pointed hat, a swept-back shape and just enough attitude to make you smile once the last fold clicks into place.

The folds themselves are gentle: a few creases, some corner tucks and two squash-folds that do most of the character work. Fold it from dark paper for a silhouette effect, or try orange and purple for something more playful. Make a whole coven of them and hang them from a thread - they look wonderful spinning gently by a window.

This tutorial shows you how to fold an origami witch with her broom.

It is a perfect origami model for Halloween, so do give it a try.
