Samurai Helmet
Few paper folds feel as steeped in history as a samurai helmet. This origami version builds a proper domed helm with a crest, the kind of model that looks impressive on a shelf and ties straight into Japanese tradition. It asks a little more of you than the simplest helmet folds — more steps, more shaping — but if you’ve folded a crane or two you’ll move through it comfortably. The payoff is a helmet with genuine presence, ready to sit alongside other Japanese-themed origami. Perfect for Children’s Day or just for the joy of folding something with a story. Grab a square and let’s raise the helmet.
