Space Shuttle
There is something irresistible about a paper shuttle sitting on your desk, wings swept and ready for liftoff. This fold takes the humble book fold and quietly turns it into a recognizable spacecraft, complete with angled wings and a tapered nose. It's one of those projects that looks impressive but stays friendly for first-timers — perfect for a rainy afternoon, a classroom demo, or just proving you can build a spaceship from a single sheet. Grab any A4 or letter paper, and by the end you'll have your own shuttle to name, decorate, and (gently) launch across the room.
STEP 1.
Take a sheet of A4 (or letter) size paper and fold it in half to the left.

STEP 2.
Fold the right bottom corner to the left and unfold.

STEP 3.
Fold the right bottom corner inward.

STEP 4.
Fold the upper left corners of both halves downward, leaving less than a quarter of each edge unfolded.

STEP 5.
Fold the right middle corners of both halves to the left so the crease line runs vertically.

STEP 6.
Fold the resulting flap inward.

STEP 7.
Rotate the item.

STEP 8.
Fold the flap inward the same way.

STEP 9.
Fold the upper flap to the left and then its left part to the right to make a wing.

STEP 10.
Rotate the item.

STEP 11.
Fold the upper flap the same way to make another wing.

STEP 12.
Draw the NASA logo and your aircraft’s name.

STEP 13.
Your space shuttle is complete!
